Percival LevettPercival Levett was born in 1580 in Beverly, Yorkshire England. He was the son of Percival Levett and Elizabeth Rotherforth. He married Mary Linkley and is the father of John Leavitt, the first Leavitt to reach America. He was the older brother of English explorer Capt. Christopher Levett, who founded the City of Portland, Maine. Percival Leavitt died 16 Dec 1646.
